RESIDENTS in Andover are being urged to keep their garages secure following a spate of break-ins.
Police confirmed that at least nine garages were targeted in one night earlier this month, with thieves forcing locks to gain entry.
The raids occurred on the night of Friday, 10 October and into the early hours of Saturday, 11 October, with burglars focusing on garages in Lilywhite Crescent and Olaf Close.
Detectives are now appealing for information – and have reminded garage owners to keep their premises secure.
PC Paddy Coveney said: “Were you in the area at the time?
“Did you see or hear anything unusual?
“I’d also like to remind people to ensure their garages are secure, to check them regularly and, where possible, not to store valuable items inside.”
Anyone with any information about these incidents is asked to contact PC Coveney at Andover Police Station on 101.
Alternatively, you can call the Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
