A teenager whose body was discovered on the railway line near Andover has been named this morning.

Dominic Lancaster, 17, was found on the train track near Artists Way in the early hours of the morning on Friday, 14 November.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1am following reports of a person on the track.

A police helicopter was seen circling the area north of Andover railway station, between Anton Lake and Saxonfields, before the body was discovered.

The death of the teenager, who is from the Andover area, is not being treated as suspicious.

Rail services were disrupted between Salisbury and Basingstoke before police handed the train line back to Network Rail shortly before 3am.
