WORKERS in the south east took an average of just one day off sick in the past year, according to a new survey.

The poll of 2,000 adults across the UK found that three-quarters of people in and around Hampshire went the whole year without taking a day off sick.

The national sick day average of 0.93 days per person marks the lowest recorded rate of absenteeism from work since Fisherman’s Friend started its annual survey in 2008.
