Veterans at a Tidworth Help for Heroes recovery centre received a royal visitor today to present them with the first City and Guilds qualifications awarded there.
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was given a tour of Tedworth House in her capacity as president of the City and Guilds of London Institute before handing framed certificates to the first 12 residents to achieve the awards.
The centre for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans began offering the qualifications earlier this year in art, bookbinding, employability skills and live quarry shooting as part of the career recovery programme.
