TRIBUTES have been paid to an "icon and legend" of Andover who has served the community for half a century.
Hospice volunteer and former maths teacher Joan Beal died earlier this month in hospital.
For tributes from her schools, neighbours, friends and former pupils see this week's Andover Advertiser, out now.
This week's bumper 72-page edition also contains all of this:
- Worker's anger as furniture giant quits Andover
- Family targeted by yobs three times in three months
- Inquest of Dominic Lancaster, the teenager hit by a train
- The result of our "where will you do most of your food shopping when Aldi comes to town?" poll
- Jobless rates in Andover reach 13-year low
- A lively letters page, covering topics from Primark to a search for a long-lost shop worker
- Farewell to retiring primary head
- All the latest sport, including Charlie Gunson's England dreams.
All this plus much, much more out now, still only 75p.
