WHERE is your favourite place to shop?

Tesco? Aldi? Lidl? Waitrose?

According to a Which magazine survey of more than 7,000 shoppers, these are our favourite supermarkets:

1) Waitrose 73% - this year's winner came second last year. It is its customer service which makes it stand out from its rivals and is rated highest in availability and helpfulness of its staff. The stores themselves are also considered exceptionally tidy and pleasant to be in.

2) Aldi 72% - Last year's winner has come in close to the top of the list again - thanks nearly entirely for its excellent pricing system. Shoppers also praised the quality of its fresh produce and its own label goods.

3) Iceland 69% - Pricing, pricing, pricing makes Iceland a popular choice. However, it didn't match the other supermarkets in terms of fresh produce and quality.

4) Lidl 69% - Lidl is strong on pricing, with a massive 89% rating it as good or excellent in terms of value for money.

5) Marks and Spencer 69% - The quality of its own brand products and the freshness of its food stood out above the other brands and the ready meals earned it extra points.

6) Morrisons 63% - Rated average overall, Morrisons distinguishes itself from Tesco and Sainsbury's on pricing. It is also rated highly for special offers.

7) Sainsbury's 63% - its biggest strength was its own-brand produce.

8) Asda 62% - a dramatic drop to eighth place for Asda - the supermarket lost points because it does not have a wide variety of products available in some stores. It scored highly on pricing but was considered 'cluttered'.

9) Tesco 60% - Tesco scores highly in fresh produce. Its biggest weaknesses were the helpfulness of its staff and the quality of some of its own products.

10) The Co-operative 49% - Coming in last, the Co-op is seeing a widening gap between its achievements and those of its rivals.
