THREE people have been charged on suspicion of supplying class A drugs following a drugs enforcement operation in Andover last week.

The operation carried out on Monday was part of regular, targeted raids by Andover Police to crack down on the supply of class A drugs and drug related violence in the town.

Sergeant Steve Parker of the Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “During the course of that day three offenders were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs and a further offender was arrested the day after.”

The three offenders charged have been remanded in custody and the fourth individual, who has not yet been charged, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Sgt Parker added: “Part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team’s role is to be doing more of that work to combat the supply of class A drugs and drug related violence.

“We will be targeting people who come to the town who are involved in that activity but also those people who allow their homes and premises to be used to deal drugs from.”
