TEST VALLEY mums and dads could still be using a potentially dangerous cot bed for their child, despite a recall in December 2013.

The Nutkin sleigh cot bed by Baumhaus was recalled after a number of safety issues were identified, Which? reports.

Several aspects of the cot were deemed to be hazardous including a risk that children could trap their neck and head in gaps at the top or fingers in the drill holes, the consumer watchdog added.

Philip Dickens, Baumhaus boss, told Which? that 93 per cent of the cot beds had been recalled but a few could still be in use.

He admitted in court last week that his company supplied an unsafe item, the Daily Mail reports.

Dickens could now face either a jail sentence or a fine up to £20,000.

If you own a sleigh cot bed – as shown in the picture above – call Baumhaus on 0845 644 8882 and they will arrange the return of the product.
