EASTER is almost upon us, and we've been thinking about chocolate.

More specifically, chocolate they don't make any more. From Spira to Fruitang, we take a look at some of the chocolate bars and sweets from years gone by we'd really like to see make a comeback.

How many of these do you remember?

Spira

Cadbury chocolate fashioned into two straws, basically. The best way to eat them was to drink your tea through them, then the middle went all melty and lovely. If Cadbury brought these back, we'd happily buy every box in Britain. Discontinued May 2005.

Flyte

Chocolate but with fewer calories? What's not to like? (The lack of calories was mainly down to the fact that it's just a Milky Way for grown-ups, but still...)

Trio

We don't really need to explain this one, right?

Marble

White and milk chocolate and, if memory serves, some sort of squidgy praline centre. Yum.

Snaps

Thin and crispy but still made of chocolate! We're not sure why Cadbury (see how it's always Cadbury) discontinued this one, but hint: Aldi do a VERY similar selection.

Cabana

This short-lived chocolate bar sounds rather grim – it mixed coconut, caramel and cherries – but was clearly the height of exotic sophistication in the 80s.

Fuse

Sold 40 million in the first week of sale, due to the incredible combo of fudge, raisins, biscuit and chocolate. But discontinued in 2006.

KitKat Senses

Not a patch on the classic KitKat, but fun all the same.

Snowflake

A flake, only white. We're pretty sure it never recovered from the great Anthea Turner scandal of its launch though.

Others include Fruitang, Toffo, Secret, Nuts About Caramel, Taz, Dream and Terry's Chocolate Orange Mint.

And the ones that seem... different

1. Creme Eggs - If you've had one this year, you'll know - they're not the same as they were. The chocolate is different/cheaper.

2. Curly Wurly - are they shorter than they were?

3. Wagon Wheels (we’re sure they used to be bigger, unless we’ve just grown up...)
