Andover raised television presenter Katie Piper has thanked fans for their support after she was admitted to hospital following complications from surgery linked to the acid attack she suffered.
The former Portway and Harrow Way School pupil says she had lost a stone in 15 days after the surgery to remove scar tissue from her throat resulted in a painful torn oesophagus.
In a message on Twitter on Saturday she thanked her fans for their support.
She said: "Thanks for all your kind messages, I am back in hospital unfortunately but getting good treatment so probably the best place to be right now.".
The illness forced the former model, 31, to cancel an event to promote her autobiography Beautiful Ever After in on Thursday
She has already been forced to miss her daughter, Belle's, first birthday earlier this month.
Everyone at the Andover Advertiser wishes Katie a speedy recovery.
