1.  If I was Prime Minister for the day...

 

Labour candidate Andy Adams (AA): I’d make sure we put ordinary working people at the heart of everything we did.

UKIP candidate Sue Perkins (SP): I would set up a massive council-led clean-up campaign across the country.

Green candidate Dan Hill (DH): I would use it as a platform to tell people that the country can be run a different way.

Lib Dem candidate Alex Payton (AP): I’d make sure there are funds in place to keep the NHS free at the point of use.

AA: Passionate, dedicated, fun

SP: Do-er, listener, optimist

DH: Modest, honest, accepting

AP: Determined, selfless and hardworking

 

3. My current Andover project/idea/policy/campaign...

AA: I’m campaigning for a taskforce to help revitalise the High Street and bring investment to the town centre, and if elected I will lead it.

SP: Any future housing developments should have proper infrastructure and be at least 40 per cent affordable housing.

DH: I would do something about companies holding unused land in the area and tell them to use it or lose it.

AP: I think something needs to be done about the infrastructure in the area.

 

4. The national newspaper I read...

AA: The Guardian on my iPad.

SP: I usually read all of the newspapers online but if I was to buy one it would be the Telegraph.

DH: I don’t read the nationals – I get my news from the BBC website.

AP: The Guardian.

 

5. The supermarket I mainly use...

AA: Asda.

SP: Waitrose – my other half gets a discount because he works there.

DH: Lidl when it is open.

AP: Sainsbury’s.
