A MAN has been arrested in connection with the theft of a charity box from a shop in Andover town centre.
As reported in the Advertiser last week, the collection tin containing more than £100 was stolen from Ben's dry cleaners in Union Street on April 2.
On Wednesday this week we reported that a man suspected of several offences was chased through town and eventually arrested by officers near to Anton Lakes.
Police have since revealed that the two incidents are being linked.
The force tweeted: "Pleased to announce arrest of suspect for theft of Whizz Kids charity box this morning following bike pursuit through town. #fedsonpeds"
