A HIGH Street retailer has opened a new 'digital' store in Andover.
Argos have set up new the online ordering based shop inside the Homebase store on Enham Retail Park and claim it will create 17 jobs for the town.
The catalogue retailer describes the shop as 'contemporary' and 'paperless' with customers able to browse over 20,000 products on tablets before ordering them for delivery to their house.
Sarah-Jane Mitchener, manager of the new Argos store, has worked for the company for 15 years and she said: “I’m really proud that we can bring digital shopping to local people in Andover, we’ve had so many positive comments from customers about the new look of the store and people have enjoyed using the tablets.
"It’s great that our store is inside Homebase, as it mean our customers have access to such a variety of products all in one, convenient, place.”
