AN Andover youth has been made the subject of a rehabilitation order after pleading guilty to handling stolen goods and criminal damage.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty at Basingstoke magistrates' court on Wednesday (20 May) to dishonestly receiving an Xbox 360 and a Call of Duty game to the value of £59.99.
The 14-year-old also pleaded guilty to criminal damage of a chair belonging to Villagio Restaurant, situated outside the Guildhall, to the value of £100.
He was convicted of these offences while already being the subject of a youth rehabilitation order for previous offences.
The original crimes included stealing a fridge and microwave from St Mary's Church Centre and criminal damage of shop goods belonging to Tesco.
As part of the youth rehabilitation order he must attend regular probation appointments and was also ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge in respect of the Xbox and £50 compensation for the chair damage.
