COMEDIAN Ed Byrne, Ultravox’ s Midge Ure and jazz singer Claire Teal are just some of the acts that will be appearing in Andover later this year.

This week, The Lights is launching their autumn and winter programme which promises to keep you entertained during the dark evenings.

Highlights are set to include Ultravox frontman Midge Ure who is returning to the venue in September performing songs from his new album Breathe as well as popular hits Vienna, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes and Fade To Grey.

Also returning is jazz singer Claire Teal with original material and contemporary covers of hits by her heroes including Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee.

Venue director, Heather Whittam said: “We’ve everything from comedians who regularly appear on popular TV shows like Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Have I Got News for You, to 80s music legends, rock tribute acts, jazz and swing orchestras and even enchanting ballet performances.”

Other musicians performing include Jacqui Dankworth and Charlie Wood, John Otway and Five Star Swing as well as tribute acts Think Floyd, Purple Zeppelin, Wings Over Abbey Road and the UK’s best Oasis tribute band, Oas-is.

Irish comedian Ed Byrne will be coming to town in October and also making a welcome return is comedian Jenny Éclair touring with her ruthlessly funny show How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane).
