AN Andover man has avoided being sent to prison after being caught three-and-a-half times over the drink-driving limit.

Krzysztof Moraczewski appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week and had a 56 day prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

On 20 June the 36-year-old from Bell Road, was caught driving with 123 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in Bell Road  this year.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Moraczewski, who was also lacking the correct insurance for the vehicle he was caught driving, will not be able to get behind a wheel of a car for nearly two-and-a-half years after being disqualified from driving for 29 months.

He also has been ordered to pay a total of £645.
