RESIDENTS are breathing a sigh of relief after officers said the 'ticking package' found in Enham Alamein this afternoon is not suspicious.
The Advertiser was first to reveal that police had descended on the village at about 3pm following the discovery.
Officers have now said the package "is not deemed to be suspicious".
At 2.55pm police were called by a member of staff at the post office in Newbury Road who had located a suspicious package handed in for delivery.
Specially trained officers were deployed to the scene to assess the situation and officers have cordoned the location where the package has been placed.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team was deployed to the scene to assess the package.
