THREE people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a teenage schoolgirl.

Jess Horton from Winchester has now been found safe and well after going missing last Friday.

The 15-year-old was discovered in the early hours of this morning at a flat in Bournemouth.

Now two men aged 24 and 50 and a woman aged 27 have been arrested as part of a police investigate into the incident.

The trio are all from Bournemouth and are currently in police custody in Dorset.

An extensive search was launched for Jess, a year 11 pupil at The Westgate School, after she disappeared from Wesley Methodist Church in Fromond Road, Weeke on September 18.

She left without any money for food, drink or shelter and suffers from asthma and did not have any medication with her.

Detective Chief Inspector Scott Clarke from the Northern Investigations Team, said: “We would like to thank all those who shared our appeals to find Jess.

"The response we receive from the public, especially in relation to missing persons investigations, is incredibly valuable and this is no exception.

“This really has been a multi-agency team effort and we have had great support from West Berkshire Social Services, Hampshire Social Services and professionals from The Westgate School in Winchester.

“We would also like to thank Dorset Police and our colleagues from the Metropolitan Police for all the assistance they have given us. Everyone has worked tirelessly to find Jess and I thank you for all for your support.”
