THE FAMILY of an Andover motorcyclist who was found dead at the side of a Hampshire road last week have paid tribute to their loved one.

Martin Robert Southwell, 58, was found near Fort Fareham industrial estate by a passer-by on Thursday.

Medics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene and Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to the crash.

His family have paid tribute to him and his son Rob Southwell said: “He will be greatly missed by his family and the local community.”

The Andover resident was found by the side of the road at about 2.30pm and his black Triumph Rocket Roadster was found in the middle of the road.

Acting Police Sergeant Melanie Adcock of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Were you or someone you know in this area of Fareham at this time?

“Did you see or hear anything?”
