A 23 YEAR-old man has been taken to hospital with multiple injuries after being found injured on Redon Way last night.

The incident took place shortly before 9pm on Thursday 8 October, with police closing off the road for around an hour.

Initial reports on social media suggested that an injured man had been found laying beside the road with one witness claiming that "he did not look good".

Hampshire Constabulary have now confirmed that this was the case.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to Redon Way, Andover, shortly before 9pm last night, after a man was found injured on the pavement.

"The man, 23, was taken to the North Hampshire Hospital with multiple injuries.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."

Andover Police reported the incident via their twitter account last night, announcing that the road had been closed in both directions.

It has been reported via social media that there were a number of police cars at the scene, with two parked by the bridge which runs over the road.
