TWO people have been arrested following a suspected arson attack in Andover last weekend.
A 36-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from Andover, were arrested by police following a fire at a block of flats on Shepherds Row on Sunday 6 December.
Fire crews were called to the scene around 5am after a caller reported smoke in the communal hallway of the property.
Fire fighters discovered a fire in a flat on the second floor which was contained to the living room, but the entire flat was damaged by smoke.
Crews used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Both the 36-year-old man and the 45-year-old woman have been given police bail until Tuesday 9 February 2016.
