POLICE have released the details of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery at a jewellers in Andover.

Hampshire Constabulary say they would like to speak to two young men who were seen walking in the Cricketers Way, Augusta Park and Roman Way areas on the morning of Wednesday 27 April.

The men, both described as slim build and in their late teens, were said to be in the area at around 11am.

One man had short, light-coloured hair, while the other had short dark-coloured hair.

Two offenders, one wearing a white motorcycle helmet and the other a black motorcycle helmet, approached the store on a black scooter.

They tried to smash the glass storefront with lump hammers and a knife but were unable to break the glass.

Nothing was stolen.

“We are now appealing for witnesses, especially anyone who may have seen two young men in dark clothing on foot around the Cricketers Way, Augusta Park and Roman Way areas of Andover around 11am last Wednesday morning.”
