A POPPY Close man has been given a community order after making a "grossly offensive" phone call.
Michael Robert Button admitted to making the call during an incident in March when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.
The 29-year-old also pleaded guilty to contacting a woman in breach of a court order.
Button was given a community order requiring him to take part in a building better relationships programme for the phone call.
He was further fined £80 for breaching the court order and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £40 Crown Prosecution costs.
