A 26-year-old man has been fined more than £100 for possession of class B drugs in Andover.

Carl Clive Barton, of an address in Rathmaguiry, County Sligo, Ireland, admitted to possession of a quantity of Methylmethcathinone in Andover in October 2013 when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.

He further pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at the court in January 2015.

Barton was fined £120 per charge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 Crown Prosecution costs.

An order was also made for the forfeiture of the drugs.
