THREE people have been arrested following a day of action in Test Valley which targeted the supply of Class A drugs.

The operation took place on Wednesday, June 29 and involved officers executing warrants at two addresses in the borough.

A 54-year-old man from Romsey was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply following a warrant at an address in Portersbridge Street, Romsey.

He has been released on bail until August 24 this year, pending further enquiries.

A 53-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, both from North Baddesley, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs following a warrant at an address in Brownhill Road, North Baddesley.

The 53-year-old man has been released on bail until August 23 this year, pending further enquiries.

The 59-year-old woman has been released with no further action.

Sergeant Vicky Dennett, from Test Valley Neighbourhood Policing team, said: “I would like to reassure the community that there is not a huge drugs problem in the Romsey area.

“However, we are committed to taking robust action against those suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs.

“We would encourage anyone with information about drugs in the community to report it, as the more we know, the more we can do something about it.”
