A WHERWELL man has been fined more than £600 after stealing from an office in Andover.
Sonner Paul James pleaded guilty to trespassing in the upstairs office at Dene Court on Tuesday 19 April when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.
The 35-year-old, of Forest Cottages, stole a safe which contained £600.
He was fined a total of £641 - £616 compensation and £25 in costs.
James also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol in Andover on four separate occasions.
On Sunday 13 December last year stole alcohol worth £11.50 from Waitrose.
He stole alcohol from Sainsbury's worth a total of £108 on Monday 11 January and Tuesday 23 February.
Finally James stole alcohol from Co-Op worth £10.49 on Monday 25 January.
For these four counts James was fined a total £105.99 including £10.49 to Co-Op, £11.50 to Waitrose and a total of £84 to Sainsbury's.
He was also ordered to take part in a drug rehabilitation course.
