OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A303 near Andover last night.

Police were called to the westbound carriageway of the A303 at 9pm after a collision involving two pedestrians and a Fiat motorhome.

One of the pedestrians, an 18-year-old man from Andover, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another pedestrian, a 23-year-old man from Liss, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where his condition is described as life-threatening.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who are investigating the exact circumstances of this collision, are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

They would also like to speak to anyone who saw either the white Fiat motorhome or the two men prior to the collision.
