A LORRY driver has been given six points on his licence after pleading guilty to driving a HGV without due care and attention on the A303.
Alvydas Petrauskas, of no fixed abode, was given the penalty after he was caught committing the offence while on the A303 near Thruxton on Wednesday 24 August.
He was driving a Mercedes Actros HGV at the time.
The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence of driving without due care and attention during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week.
As well as the points penalty, Petrauskas was fined £225 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was also made to pay a £30 victim surcharge.
