ANDOVER Vision has served up two new ping pong tables in response to residents’ calls for more outdoor sporting facilities.
The two new tables, located near the Town Mills and the entrance to Andover Leisure Centre, were unveiled last week by representatives of the Vision group, councillors and members of Andover Table Tennis Association (ATTA).
The move is a response to a recent consultation meeting hosted by Andover Vision, in which residents called for more outdoor sporting facilities.
The suggestion to install outdoor table tennis tables was just one of a number of ideas put forward to a public vote at a series of community events over the summer.
Cllr Phil North, who has been coordinating the Andover Vision project, said: “I would encourage everyone to come down and enjoy a game of ping pong or two.”
ATTA’s Nick George said: “The ATTA is very grateful to Andover Vision for the these two new tables.”
