POLICE in Andover have arrested a man who they suspect stole an animal trailer.
Test Valley PCSO Alexander Carter said in a crime bulletin today (Sunday): "Last night a police patrol south of Andover spotted a vehicle towing a animal trailer without a number plate.
"When the officer stopped the vehicle it was found that the male driving could not provide proof that the trailer was his, through other investigation it was found that the trailer had been stolen from an address near Monxton.
"Although there is a constant rural presence working from both Romsey, Andover and Stockbridge, we cannot be everywhere at once, as such please continue to phone in anything you see that you find suspicious on 101, or 999 in an emergency."
Andover Police Tweeted this afternoon to say they had arrested the man:
