A SHOPPER has been rushed to hospital after suffering a life-threatening "medical emergency" in the Chantry Centre today.
The incident happened outside of Waitrose, shortly before 1.30pm.
South Central Ambulance service sent an ambulance and a rapid response unit to the scene.
The shopper was later taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
A spokesperson for SCAS said: "We were called at 13.26 earlier this afternoon to the Chantry Centre, outside Waitrose, in Andover, following reports of a patient suffering a serious and potentially life-threatening medical emergency.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.
"After initial treatment, the patient was then transported to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital."
