AN ELDERLY man from Andover has died following injuries sustained in a car crash in Eastleigh.
Police are appealing for information after the 86-year-old passed away in hospital on Thursday after being in the passenger seat of a two car collision.
The 86-year-old was treated for minor injuries at the scene but whilst at the hospital, it was discovered that he had suffered a more serious injury.
A police investigation is underway following the crash, which happened between a blue Skoda Octavia taxi and a black Nissan Navara, of which the elderly man was travelling in.
Sergeant Richard Grant said: “Sadly, the passenger of the Nissan passed away on Thursday. We need to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or anyone has any information that could assist our investigation.”
The two cars collided shortly after 8pm on January 3 on Leigh Road, at the junction of the slip road onto the M3 north.
