A PILGRIMS Way man has been fined more than £700 after pleading guilty to incidents of threatening or abusive behaviour.
Matthew Jamie Doyle pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on Tuesday, August 30 last year when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates Court recently.
The 27-year-old was fined a total of £150.
Doyle also pleaded guilty to a similar incident involving a different victim on Friday, November 30 last year.
He was given a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victim until further notice and fined a total of £575, including a £400 fine, a victim services surcharge of £40 and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
