A MAN arrested on suspicion of arson at a High Street café has been re-bailed for a second time.

As previously reported by the Advertiser, the 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of arson and the attempted burglary of Butters between 1.45am and 2am on Sunday, December 4.

The suspect was released on bail pending further enquiries and police then re-bailed him until last week.  They have now confirmed that he has been re-bailed for a second time until May.

Officers previously confirmed that the incident, which saw damage to the front of the café, is being treated as arson and no-one was injured.
