THE class of Overton Junior School 1957 recently held a reunion, 60 years after going to school together.
On Saturday, April 8, 18 former classmates from form 4A of Overton Junior School met at the Lounge Bar at the Overton Memorial Institute.
They recreated the photo of them as a form 60 years ago, and reminisced about old times, in addition to finding out about how everyone else has changed in the interceding few decades.
One of the event’s organisers, Dave Traynor, said: “The event went superbly. It had been in the works for over six months and it was great to see people that in some cases, we hadn’t seen for 50 years. It was really nice to see everyone, and it was a fantastic evening.”
While not everyone originally in the class was able to attend, there were around 27 people at the event in total.
