A MAN arrested on suspicion of arson at a High Street café has been released from bail but remains under investigation.

As previously reported by the Advertiser, the 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of arson and the attempted burglary of Butters between 1.45am and 2am on Sunday, December 4.

The suspect was released on bail pending further enquiries and police have now confirmed that he has been released from bail but remains under investigation.

Officers previously confirmed that the incident, which saw damage to the front of the café, is being treated as arson and no-one was injured.
