A NEW business is lighting the way in the town centre after it officially opened this month.

Candle shop Indiglow, on Newbury Street, at the top of the High Street, opened its doors for the first time on Saturday, May 13.

Agnes Winchcombe and Victoria Ross decided to set up the business after Yankee Candles closed at Andover’s Wyevale Garden Centre.

Agnes said: “We recognised a need to support Andover and the local community and we’re both passionate about the product and our customers.

“We will continue to deliver the same first class service, and we have nine years of Yankee Candle expertise between us.

“We are fully knowledgeable of the product and have a complete understanding about our customers’ passion for it, as we also do.

“We would like to thank all the customers that have supported us over the last six years and hope that they, and all new customers, will support us in our new venture."

Santander business manager Adams Phillips, who helped the two women to set up their business.

He said: “I met Vicky and Agnes and instantly fell in love with their passion for fun.

“They are a real light of energy and to have them sitting on the high street of Andover, will be a welcomed boost of energy.

“I’m delighted to help their business get off to a flying start, good luck to the both of them.”
