A WOMAN was taken to hospital after her car overturned on the A303 this morning.

The driver, said to be in her 20s, was driven by ambulance to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke, following the incident near Popham earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway shortly after 11am.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue attend the one vehicle incident, but say that the woman driver was extricated before the arrival of the emergency services.

She was later treated for minor injuries by South Central Ambulance Service.

According to Hampshire's travel alert system, ROMANSE, one lane of the westbound carriageway was blocked during the incident.

Drivers also experienced delays of up to 40 minutes.
