THE winners of our ever-popular Supertots competition have been revealed.

The presentations were made at the Chantry Centre on Monday, August 14 to the category and overall winners and the runners-up in the 21st running of the event.

Out of the 200 entrants Illyria Phillips, from the 0-12 months category, was the overall winner, receiving £400 worth of gift vouchers and a soft toy from the Chantry Centre, a £100 shopping voucher, a commemorative handprint ceramic plaque and framed certificate from the Advertiser, and a framed portrait from David Facey Photographers.

Illyia’s proud dad George Philips, present at the ceremony with mum Victoria Kilby, said: “Thank you to everyone that voted, we can use the vouchers for lots of presents for the pretty one and her presents for Christmas.”

Hali Gray won the 13-24 months category and Mohit Kumaran claimed the prize for the 25-48 months grouping.

Both category winners also received prizes including £150 in gift vouchers and a £50 shopping voucher along with the extra treats. Runners up Elliott Steele, in the 0-12 months, Jaxon Benning, 13-24 months, and Anastarzia Blomfield, 25-48 months, all received £75 gift vouchers and £25 shopping vouchers.

Overall, 1,606 votes were cast during the race for top tot.

Test Valley borough mayor councillor Carl Borg-Neal said: “After some really hard voting decisions it was lovely to see the children in the flesh. They were really cute, just as cute as you’d imagine them, so it was nice to give them all their awards and it was a brilliant day.”

All the finalists were shortlisted as receiving the highest number of individual votes, and then judged by a panel including the cllr Borg-Neal, the mayoress Maria Neal, Newsquest - owner of the Advertiser - promotions executive Jo Richardson and Chantry Centre office assistant Kate Caplan.
