TRADESPEOPLE are being warned of a spate of thefts of power tools through vans.
Hampshire Police has warned of a sudden spate of thefts of tools from vans in the Andover area in the past week and are urging tradesmen to leave tools in vehicles overnight, to remove all valuable items and lock the vehicle securely.
The police are also advising, if possible, to place a 'no tools left inside' sign in a visible area of the vehicle.
Anyone who believe they are witnessing a theft in progress should call 999 immediately and give a clear a description of the suspect or suspects as possible.
Anyone who believes they have been the victim of a theft, should call 101.
