PUMPKINS, spooky dress up and toffee apples were all part of the Halloween festivities celebrated in and around Andover this week.

Enham Village Post Office had a pumpkin extravaganza with pumpkin soup, cake, pie, and prizes for best carved squash plant.

Around 30 children then marched up Kings Road to the "Halloween House" hosted by grandmother Karen Humphreys who puts on a ghoulish display each year.

The house took about a week to transform, complete with dead bodies, a 30 foot spider's web over the top of the house, skeletons playing volleyball with heads, a blow up Grim Reaper and more.

Ms Humphreys said: "I first started doing them for my children because I didn't want them trick or treating, and it's grown since then and now I do it for my grandchildren.

"This year I thought I would do something special for the village, all the children came up here and I built a tunnel they had to go through when they got here.

"It was a lovely night and then we had a party for everybody to enjoy, I always say people can come and have a look.

"I just thought I'd give people a bit of cheer."

Meanwhile in Stockbridge, at the request of residents, John Robinson Butchers went all out for a themed window display.
