ANTON Rotary Club members have been donning painting overalls to give a young people’s accommodation service a makeover.
The club has been giving a hand to Andover Foyer’s River House service since it lost half of its funding from Hampshire County Council last year.
Last year, the club made a £2,000 donation while this year has seen efforts painting the public areas of the accommodation and respite for 16 to 21-year-olds.
From corridors to the kitchen, toilets and reception area, the club also supplied the facility with a set of wall cupboards for more kitchen storage space.
Next up for the project, the club will be transforming the outside with a new large shed where young people can develop their musical talents.
Paint used was donated by Andover’s Brewers branch.
