A PAIR of dedicated volunteers from the disability charity Enham Trust have been awarded first runners up in the Test Valley Community Services Volunteer Awards 2017.

Andover-based husband AND wife team John AND Maggie Bowman, who started volunteering for the Trust in May 2011, received their award in recognition of their near seven-year-long service to the charity.

They supporting the cause by donating the gift of their time to ensuring the smooth and successful running of many different projects and events.

Heath Gunn, chief executive officer of Enham Trust, said: “We’re delighted that John and Maggie have received this recognition for their dedication to our charity. It’s truly thanks to our volunteers, who save us thousands of pounds each year,

that we can continue our work to ensure disabled people live as independently as possible.”

Enham Trust currently supports thousands of disabled people across the country each year in every area of their lives by providing housing, care, and various employment and skills opportunities to ensure each of their customers gains independence, choice, and control over daily decisions.
