North West Hampshire MP Kit Malthouse has become a newly appointed minister as part of Theresa May’s cabinet reshuffle, it was announced today.
Mr Malthouse will now hold a ministerial role in the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), as parliamentary under secretary of state.
He will be working with newly appointed secretary of state for the DWP and Tatton MP Esther McVey.
Mr Malthouse said it was a "great honour" to be given the role.

Mr Malthouse also holds positions as a member of the Treasury Committee and Sub-Committee, and previously held roles in the London Assembly as deputy mayor for policing and deputy mayor for business and enterprise under former London mayor Boris Johnson.
