INFORMATION is being sought after a Pygmy Goat was stolen in Andover.

Cinnamon the Pygmy Goat, who usually resides in Finkley Down Farm in North Way, was discovered by members of the public in King Arthur’s Way yesterday morning.

After the farm was called, the livestock manager picked up the goat at 8:57pm yesterday morning. Cinnamon suffered no injuries but was quite distressed. However, she is now back at the farm and has recovered from the ordeal.

Upon checking the enclosure to see if Cinnamon had escaped, it was discovered that the perimeter fence had been cut. After reviewing the CCTV footage, it was found that two people had entered the farm at 4.07am that morning (January 20) and left ten minutes later carrying something that looked like Cinnamon.

The farm shared this information on their Facebook page, describing the incident as ‘bizarre’. Part of the post read: “Cinnamon is one of our friendliest Pygmy Goats that lives in a large herd on the Farm, she enjoys being fed by the public.”

If anyone has any information about the incident or recognises the people in the CCTV footage, they can e-mail: livestock@finkleydownfarm.co.uk. Or they can get in contact with the police on 101 with the reference 44180025520.
