STARS of Star Trek, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones are among a plethora of special guests to attend a special out of this world Sci-fi convention in Southampton next week.

Sci-Fi Ball, the UK’s longest running not-for-profit science fiction convention, takes place at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton between Friday and Sunday.

The event, which is in its 24th year, will feature a star-studded line-up of science fiction and fantasy stars.

They will be helping to raise much-needed funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Headlining the weekend will be Ingrid Oliver who stars as Petronella Osgood in Doctor Who. a scientist at the fictional Unified Intelligence Taskforce, who fight alien life on earth.

Ingrid is also one half of the comic double act Watson & Oliver, a British sketch show act who have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.

She will be appearing at the Sci-Fi Ball during the Friday evening cocktail party and taking part in a guest talk, autograph/photography sessions.

Ingrid will also be a guest of honour at a three-course black-tie banquet and cabaret on the Saturday evening.

Other special guests include Terry Farrell (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Red Dwarf (US) & Becker) Gary Graham (Star Trek: Voyager, Alien Nation), Vic Mignogna (Star Trek: Continues and Anime shows RWBY and Full Metal Alchemist), Chris Doohan (Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Trek: The Motion Picture) and Jerome Blake (Star Wars).

Robert Rankin (author of The Antipope, The Lord of the Ring Roads and many other best selling far-fetched fiction), Richard Williams (concept artist for Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood) will also be making an appearance. Every day of the convention will feature special guest panels, fan-built and actual props and sets including a replica KITT car from Knight Rider.

There will also be autograph and photography sessions with the stars, roaming Daleks, two new large heated exhibition marquees filled with authors, artists, a special cosplay stage and table-top gaming.

Special ticket holders can also enjoy a three-course black-tie dining experience including cabaret and an exclusive cocktail party.
