A BASINGSTOKE firm will be backing a hospice service as its charity of the year for 2018.

Lychpit-based Reality HR has nominated Naomi House and Jacksplace hospice care to support during the year.

The charity provides hospice care for life-limited children, young people and their extended families.

The care provided costs £8.5million per year, with only nine per cent of income funded by the government and statutory sources.

Reality HR’s chief operating officer, Sally-Ann Hall-Jones, pictured, said: “The team were very keen to support Naomi House & Jacksplace and are already coming up with lots of ideas for fundraising events.

“Our first event is a fashion evening where the team will bring any unused clothes or accessories, selling them to other team members to raise money for the charity. There will also be quiz nights and of course our end of year Christmas raffle, which raised more than £700 last year.

“I’m delighted to see such an enthusiastic response for such an excellent charity.”
