A STALKER who made grunting noises and squeezing gestures behind his victim has been given a community order to complete rehabilitation activities and do 100 hours of unpaid work.
Simon Lee Jones, of Broadway, Whitchurch, pleaded guilty to stalking, amounting to harassment, of an individual between 1 August, 2016 and 31 January this year.
The 51-year-old followed the victim around a pub, to the toilets, waited around Whitchurch, followed them home and on one occasion in The Red House stood behind her grunting and making squeezing gestures.
Jones was sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he was also handed a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victim, entering the Red House or White Hart Hotel in Whitchurch or going within 20 metres of London Road in Whitchurch.
He must also pay £170 for victim services and court costs.
