A HOMELESS veteran’s struggle to get social housing in Test Valley has been blasted as “completely wrong” by a charity.

Veterans in Action has been in talks with Test Valley Borough Council over the past week to get the 57-year-old, who wishes not to be named, social housing in the area, as he is receiving mental health and alcoholism support from the Redenham-based charity.

However, the authority says it has twice offered temporary accommodation and is working to find something ‘suitable’ for the former army man, despite his ‘priority need’ status being under review.
