AN Andover nightclub has given a much-needed donation to help babies who may be at risk of jaundice.
Cameo has made a £5,000 contribution to Hampshire Hospitals Maternity Centre for special equipment to check for the condition and see if further treatment is needed.
The presentation was made by the club’s deputy general manager Suzanne Cooper from its company’s Echo Trust charity.
Jo Fairhurst, community midwifery manager for Hampshire Hospitals Maternity Centre, said: “We are very grateful to Cameo and the Echo Trust for this donation. The bilimeter is a fantastic piece of equipment which will give us more freedom to assess babies and to give parents reassurance.”
